Monday saw the Year 10 Aim High group spend the day at Balliol College, Oxford University, to gain a greater understanding of how to obtain a place to study there and what that would look like day-to-day.
With the tour, a lovely lunch and a debate session around ‘Big Questions’ being the highlights of the morning, the afternoon was spent enjoying lectures in the Material Science department. It was very impressive watching the students engage with and understand complex concepts at the cutting edge of scientific development.
This trip really was a great experience and the group are looking forward to building on this with further experiences as part of the Aim High Programme in the coming weeks and months.
