IT Outreach

SBAS ITOSSimon Balle All-Through School currently works with a number of primary schools in the Ware and Hertford area, supporting and developing their school networks. Many schools are attracted to the program due to it being a unique service which also helps to form a tight bond between primary and secondary schools.

By familiarising pupils with the ICT technologies used in secondary schools at a primary school level, it can make the transition from using ICT in Year 6 to Year 7 much easier.

Among the schools we are currently working with are:

Bengeo Primary School, Bengeo

Christchurch School C of E (VA) Primary School and Nursery, Ware

Hertford Heath Primary School and Nursery

Mill Mead Primary School, Hertford

Morgan’s Primary School and Nursery

Puller Memorial C of E (VA) Primary School

St. Catherine’s C of E Primary School, Ware

St. Mary’s School (VC) C of E Junior School, Ware

Thundridge C of E Primary School

cablingWe have identified three different areas within ICT support that we believe would greatly benefit primary schools and we offer competitive prices.

ICT Outreach Support

This is offered on a minimum of 1 day per week, 12 month contract basis. It involves the day to day maintenance and troubleshooting of your school network. Our highly experienced technicians will come into your school during school hours and ensure your school network is running as efficiently as it can as well as making sure all of your staff’s ICT needs are met. There is no job too small for them!

ICT Technical Consultancy

If your school needs any guidance on technical consultancy for short term projects or replacement programs (ICT equipment or hardware, for example) then our outreach technology manager (Gary Newland) can visit your school and advise you on the best plan of action.

ICT Planning and Strategy Consultancy

As well as technical consultancy, we can also offer you consultancy on Planning and Strategy within ICT. This involves a visit from 2 members of the Simon Balle Educational Technology team, our Outreach Technology Manager (Gary Newland) as well as our Director of Educational Technology (Nick Goodwin) who between them have many years hands-on experience with school networks. They will be able to assist you with short, medium and long term ICT planning and development plans, spending time analysing your current school setup and then writing an in detail report on multiple area’s such as hardware replacement and ICT curriculum planning to name a few.

For information about the ICT Outreach service, including pricing, or to discuss your school’s individual requirements please contact:
