Over the past 3 months the year 9 well-being runners have been training every Monday after school in order to improve their running up to a distance of 5 kilometres but also take time to improve their own well-being.
On Saturday 12 students completed Panshanger Parkrun, a free event which takes place every weekend across the world. First to cross the finish line was Alex H in a fantastic 23.57 placing 3rd in his age group. He was closely followed by Robert E. Ethan B was the 3rd student home shortly followed by Sam P. Ruby C was the first female back and came 3rd in her age group, with Emma W just 20 seconds behind. Thomas K made it back under 35 minutes and was then joined by Astrid A, Yasmin W, Oviya B, Anna S and Josh C.
A massive well done to all the students who completed the run and embraced the opportunity to try something new. Thank you also to the parents who came along for the run and supported along the course. As well as our fantastic staff runners Miss Rhodes and Miss Young.
