Hockey News

We hosted the Y9/10 district hockey festival at Simon Balle in November. The Simon Balle team played some excellent hockey in their first game against Freman College, winning 4-0. Strong performances came from Ruby B and Tilly B who dominated the midfield and created lots of attacking opportunities for the side. In the final game, the girls faced a strong Presdales team. It was a well matched contest with both teams getting chances in the attacking Ds. Simon Balle goalkeeper Ella E stepped up to the role and made some fantastic saves to keep the team in the game. After going 1-0 down, the girls quickly equalised with a well worked team goal. The score unfortunately ended 2-1 and the girls came 2nd overall in the tournament with lots of good play to be proud of.
