Sixth Form Open Evening – 8th October 2025 (17:30- 19:30)

We are excited to welcome prospective students and families to our next Sixth Form Open Evening on 8th October 2025.

This evening offers the perfect opportunity to explore life at Simon Balle Sixth Form and begin considering your next steps after GCSEs.

You’ll have the chance to:

  • Visit subject areas across the school and meet our outstanding, experienced teaching staff
  • Hear from our Sixth Form Leadership Team during presentations in the main hall (17:45 and 18:45)
  • Take a student-led tour with our Sixth Form guides and learn more about our vibrant enrichment programme

At Simon Balle, we offer a wide range of courses to suit all pathways. Almost 85% of our students go on to university, with recent destinations including Oxford, Cambridge, and Imperial College London. Our alumni have pursued degrees in areas as diverse as biomedical science, engineering, accounting, nursing, astrophysics, and pharmacy. Others have secured competitive degree apprenticeships with leading employers such as Barclays and Santander.

Many students are excited to try new subjects for the first time, with Psychology, Sociology, Economics and Politics proving especially popular.

We also offer a creative and expressive arts pathway, including A Level Music, Art, Craft & Design, Media Studies, 3D Design and English Literature, alongside core academic options such as History, Geography, and Philosophy, Religion and Ethics.

New for September 2026 – Simon Balle Sixth Form will be offering 3 new courses; Criminology, Early Childhood Development (AAQ) and Music Performance and Production.

But Sixth Form at Simon Balle is about ‘More Than Just Great A Levels.

Our students develop as confident, capable young people through a wide range of enrichment opportunities, including:

There are no catchment restrictions for our Sixth Form – students join us from across the region to be part of an ambitious and supportive learning community.
