The Rock Gig will take place on Tuesday 25th November at 7pm at the Corn Exchange in Hertford

The Rock Gigs are a great evening full of performances from all of our Rock School bands, we’re excited for you to see what they have been working on!

How do I buy tickets?

Tickets are now available through the parent portal and will be on sale until 3 hours before the concert.

Where do we need to go?

The Rock Gig takes place ‘Upstairs’ at the Corn Exchange in Hertford (39 Fore Street, SG14 1AL).

Please email music@simonballe.herts.sch.uk if you have any concerns regarding your ability to access the venue.

Bands should arrive at 6.30pm and we would ask all audience members to arrive by 6.50pm for a prompt start at 7pm.

What do performers need to bring?

Please bring your own guitars, straps, picks and drum sticks. We will supply leads, amps, mics and a drum kit. We will bring one spare guitar and bass of course, but you should bring your own.

What do performers need to wear?

Students do not need to wear school uniform for the Rock Gig. That being said, please ensure your outfit is appropriate for a school concert.

Important information for performers:

  • Students should remain onsite throughout and anyone who leaves the venue will not be readmitted. It would be great to have as much support for our bands as possible so please aim to watch everyone else.
  • Please note as usual for school events - no photography or video is permitted.
  • Please choose something appropriate so nothing with offensive language or images!

There is a bar selling drinks, and you may bring your own water. Please eat beforehand and do not bring food into the venue. Note that students are not permitted to drink alcohol at school events.

If any performer is ill, please advise the music office by 9am on Wednesday morning.
