Press Start: A Symphonic Gaming Odyssey | April 2026

25th April 2026Heather Morgan

What a fantastic Saturday evening, with the incredible music of over 100 Wind and Brass musicians from Years 5 - 13. It was a delight to hear such exciting and engaging music, across Junior Wind, the Brass ensemble, Concert Band, Saxidentals and an incredible rendition of 'Big Blue' performed by 36 saxophonists!

The concert was one of the most musically and technically challenging concerts we have staged in many years. Innovation was around every corner, including Mario Kart Coconut Mall being played live and engaging video and gaming footage across repertoire, allowing the audience to watch on in awe!

A huge thank you to our incredible music department, the support of our wonderful families, and, of course, our truly dedicated and talented musicians.

"Thank you for such a great evening of music on Saturday, [our musician] really enjoyed it.

They are very lucky students indeed to have these opportunities, please thank all for the music staff for us."

You don't get this anywhere else!

Congratulations to all performers and thank you to all of the families that came along to support!

Equipment failure meant that some of the Big band evening was not recorded, but the pictures will be available next week. (off to purchase new equipment......).

A Night at the Proms! | March 2026

13th March 2026Heather Morgan

A Night at the Proms! Wow - what a fantastic evening!

Incredible performances from The Concert Orchestra & Chorus!
Our musicians were amazing. The standard of performance was quite unique and the community support was brilliant. The evening showed how Team Music is thriving and when we come together, amazing things happen.

The standard of music-making was remarkable from start to finish. There has clearly been so much work and rehearsal time put into tonight, and the result was a performance of real quality and ambition.

Some of those pieces were really challenging, yet everyone approached them with confidence. It was really impressive to hear how well it all came together.

But what actually struck me the most, even more than the incredibly high technical standard, was the sheer enjoyment visible on every face on stage. Their smiles lit up the hall tonight. Our students clearly relish the opportunity to perform, and there was a real sense of pride at being up there. They so obviously love creating music together and that, as we all know, is at the very heart of what music education is all about.
