Rock School is expanding - which is fantastic! We are changing the structure to allow for progressive routes through Rock School for all students.

For our new students who have formed new bands, we are hosting an Open Mic Night as an introductory performance. We want to showcase our younger bands and build their confidence gradually as well as their performance skills and overall musicianship.

The Open Mic Night will follow a slightly more flexible programme: showcasing band work and soloists. The two Open Mic Nights are preparation for their performance at the Corn Exchange in June 2026. 

What do performers need to bring?

Please bring your own guitars, straps, picks and drum sticks. We will supply leads, amps, mics and a drum kit. We will bring one spare guitar and bass of course.

What do performers need to wear?

Students do not need to wear school uniform for the Open Mic. That being said, please ensure your outfit is appropriate for a school concert.
