Welcome to

Simon Balle All-through School

It is a privilege to welcome you to Simon Balle All-through School. Our website is intended to be a window into the highest quality of education that we offer here, and to give you a sense of who we are and our shared vision and values.

We are proud of our all-through school: one school for students from the age of four all the way to eighteen. We are known for our high expectations, first class education and our innovative approach. Our curriculum is broad, and its progressive and sequential nature in every subject ensures that children are inspired and can successfully journey through fourteen years of learning with us. We believe that there is no tension between this academic ambition for all and a holistic education which supports every young person to develop their character and sense of self.

FRENCH TRIP - UPDATE
We’ve had a slight change to our schedule today due to a problem with our coach. The good news is that we’ve been able to enjoy an extended visit to the snail farm, where the students have loved spending time with the animals (goats and chickens too!), making the most ...of the experience.

A replacement coach is on its way and will be with us shortly. From there, we will head to Wimereux to enjoy some sunshine and beach time as planned. All being well, there will be time to visit the chocolate factory tomorrow morning instead of this afternoon as was planned.

Everyone is in great spirits, we’ve got plenty of shade, drinks, snacks, and games to keep us entertained whilst we wait. We will keep you updated!

DofE SILVER EXPEDITION
Over three hot and demanding days in the New Forest, our Silver Duke of Edinburgh participants demonstrated remarkable courage and resilience.

On day two, each group completed a challenging 22-kilometre walk in high temperatures, with regular check-ins to ensure ...everyone remained safe and well hydrated.

Despite the heat, morale stayed high. The determination and teamwork shown throughout the expedition were truly impressive. After completing the 22-kilometre trek—on what may have been one of the hottest days of the year—the group was rewarded with a well-earned visit to the beach to cool off and relax.

The day ended back at camp with a campfire, toasted marshmallows, homemade s’mores, and a chance to unwind with shared stories and laughter. A memorable end to a fantastic expedition!

GREAT FIRE OF LONDON
This term, Year 2 pupils in the Larch have been diving into history as they learned all about the Great Fire of London. For their homework project, they created incredible model houses from 1666 - and last week, Mr Tweed, our Director of Health and Safety, helped bring ...their learning to life!

We explored how the fire spread so quickly, linking past and present in a memorable (and safe!) way. A brilliant end to a fantastic topic!
