Welcome to

Simon Balle All-through School

It is a privilege to welcome you to Simon Balle All-through School. Our website is intended to be a window into the highest quality of education that we offer here, and to give you a sense of who we are and our shared vision and values.

We are proud of our all-through school: one school for students from the age of four all the way to eighteen. We are known for our high expectations, first class education and our innovative approach. Our curriculum is broad, and its progressive and sequential nature in every subject ensures that children are inspired and can successfully journey through fourteen years of learning with us. We believe that there is no tension between this academic ambition for all and a holistic education which supports every young person to develop their character and sense of self.

EVEN MORE SCIENCE
Last week, Year 6 students were challenged to engineer the fastest fan powered car as part of their spectacular STEM day with Wonderstruck

Students were asked to 'think like secondary students' and had a range of equipment to modify their cars.

...Following time trials, the races became rather competitive until we eventually settled on a clear winning car.

Well done everyone! A truly FAN-tastic afternoon.

NATIONAL YOUTH STRATEGY CONSULTATION
We are extremely proud of our Year 11 and Year 12 students who voluntarily attended the National Youth strategy consultation, hosted by Josh Dean MP.

This was an opportunity to let young people have their say on support services, facilities and ...opportunities they need outside the school gates. Following the end of the consultation period, the views collated will feed into a report, Today’s Youth, Tomorrow’s Nation, detailing young people’s priorities. The National Youth Strategy will be published later this year.

We're looking forward to welcoming @joshdeanmp to Simon Balle All-through on Friday 6th June. It's a fantastic opportunity for our students to engage with real-world politics and deepen their understanding of public service.

Our A Level Politics students are also excited about their upcoming visit to Parliament in July – a great chance to see democracy in action.

WELLBEING & MENTAL HEALTH
@ Simon Balle All-through school

We’ve recently updated our website to provide our school community with up-to-date information on mental health support and wellbeing resources.

This week, we have a range of activities planned across the school ...to encourage students to connect and stay active. On Wednesday, students from all phases will have the chance to visit an inflatable photo booth and take home a fun keepsake. Other activities throughout the week include darts, inter-house sports, fitness sessions, badminton, yoga, and rounders.

We will also be using our wellbeing platform, Bounce Together, to gain valuable insights into student wellbeing through surveys.
